Terms of Use

Blue Water Intelligence LLC · Effective November 8, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Blue Water Intelligence LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“Blue Water Intelligence,” “we,” “us”), for the Blue Water Intelligence app and website (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them.

The short version: our forecasts are estimates built from satellite and model data. They can be wrong, and they can’t guarantee that you’ll find or catch fish. The Service is not for navigation, and you are responsible for your own safety and for following fishing laws. Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel.

1. Your account

You need an account to use the Service. You must be at least 13 years old, and if you are under 18 you need a parent or guardian’s permission. Give accurate information, keep your password private, and tell us right away at support@bluewater-intelligence.com if you think someone else has used your account. One account is for one person; please don’t share it.

You can delete your account at any time in the app under Menu › Account › Delete Account. Our Privacy Policy explains what happens to your data.

2. Plans, billing and cancellation

The Service has a free plan and paid plans (currently Premium and Pro). Each plan’s features are shown on the plan screen before you subscribe.

3. Forecasts, data and fishing results

No guarantee of results. The Service shows where ocean conditions look favorable for fish. Fish don’t always follow conditions, and we can’t guarantee that you will find fish, catch fish, or have a successful trip by using the Service. Scores, star ratings, rankings and spot locations are estimates, not predictions of a catch.

Forecasts, maps and analysis are built from third-party satellite, model and survey data, including data from NOAA and NASA. That data can be delayed, missing (for example, where clouds block a satellite’s view), inaccurate or out of date, and our methods for scoring it are approximate. Conditions on the water change faster than any forecast. Use the Service as one input to your own judgment, not as a replacement for it.

4. Safety and the law

Not for navigation. The Service is not a navigation aid. Do not use it to navigate, to avoid hazards, or to decide whether conditions are safe. Always use official nautical charts and proper navigation equipment, check the official marine forecast, and follow the U.S. Coast Guard’s safety guidance.

You alone are responsible for your vessel, your crew and passengers, and every decision you make on the water, including whether to go out at all. You are also responsible for following all fishing laws and regulations that apply to you, including licenses and permits, seasons, size and bag limits, and closed or protected areas. The Service does not show these rules, and a spot it suggests may fall inside an area where fishing is restricted.

5. AI-written summaries

Some features, such as the analyst’s read of a forecast, local fishing report summaries and catch analysis, are written by an AI model (Claude, from Anthropic). The app asks your permission before it sends any data for these features, and you can turn them off in settings. AI-written text can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, and fishing reports it summarizes come from third parties we don’t control. Treat it as commentary, not fact.

6. Your catch logs and content

Catch logs, saved spots, waypoints and anything else you add belong to you. You give us permission to store, process and display that content only as needed to run the Service for you, for example to look up ocean conditions for a catch or to show your own catch analysis. We don’t sell it. Don’t add content that you don’t have the right to share or that breaks the law.

7. Acceptable use

Please don’t:

8. Third-party services and data

The Service depends on others, including data providers (such as NOAA and NASA), map providers (such as OpenStreetMap and CARTO), Stripe for payments, and Apple for the iPhone app. Their services have their own terms, and we aren’t responsible for their availability, accuracy or actions. If a data source changes or stops, a feature that depends on it may change or stop too.

9. Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, scoring methods and the Blue Water Intelligence name and logo, belongs to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own fishing, according to these terms and your plan. Public data we display remains subject to its providers’ terms.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We don’t promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or accurate, or that it will produce any particular fishing result.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, wasted fuel or trip costs, property damage, personal injury or death arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if you haven’t paid us anything.

Some places don’t allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

12. Indemnity

If someone brings a claim against us because of your use of the Service, your content, or your breaking these terms or the law, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from that claim, to the extent the law allows.

13. Ending your use

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the Service or other people at risk, or is used fraudulently. If we close your paid account for a reason other than your breaking these terms, we’ll refund the unused part of your current period. Sections 3, 4, 6 and 9 to 15 continue to apply after your account ends.

14. Changes to the Service or these terms

We improve the Service often, and features, data sources and plans may change. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll update the date at the top and tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, please email us so we can try to resolve it informally. Any dispute that isn’t resolved that way will be decided in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. Either of us may bring a claim in small-claims court instead, where it qualifies.

16. App Store terms

If you use the Blue Water Intelligence app from Apple’s App Store, these extra terms apply:
